Determines Average Particles Size
LTS Research Laboratories, Inc. utilizes laser diffractometry-based analytical techniques to analyze the particle size distribution of powders in the range of 0.1-1000 µm. The sample is dispersed into the medium to prevent agglomeration and the solution is circulated to the measuring cell illuminated by a laser beam. The particles scatter the laser beam in different directions based on their size. A series of detectors record the scattered light at different angles and the data is analyzed to determine the size of the particles using Mie scattering or Fraunhofer diffraction theory.
