Europium(II) Fluoride

Europium(II) fluoride is utilized as a specialized rare earth halide in the synthesis of other europium compounds and as a dopant in various fluoride-based host lattices.

Used as a component in the fabrication of optical thin films and coatings where specific refractive index properties and divalent europium luminescence are required.

EuF2 is used as a precursor material for creating sputtering targets to deposit thin films for magneto-optical and electronic research applications.
