Erbium, Foil, 99%, 100 mm x 100 mm x 1 mm

Erbium is used as a dopant in fiber optic cables and laser crystals, such as Er:YAG, to provide amplification and specific wavelengths for medical and telecommunications use.

Erbium is added to metals like vanadium to lower hardness and improve workability, and it is used in specialized magnesium alloys for high-strength applications.

Erbium metal targets are used in physical vapor deposition to create thin films for optical coatings and electronic components.

High-purity erbium is used as an evaporation source in e-beam or thermal evaporation processes to deposit thin layers for semiconductor and photonic research.
