Ytterbium, Foil, 99.9%, 100 mm x 100 mm x 0.3 mm

Ytterbium is used as a dopant in fiber amplifiers and laser materials, and as a radiation source in portable X-ray machines.

Ytterbium sputtering targets are utilized to create thin films for electronic components and specialized optical coatings.

Ytterbium is added to stainless steel to improve grain refinement, strength, and other mechanical properties.

High-purity ytterbium is used as an evaporation material in the fabrication of organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) to improve electron injection.
