Silver Indium alloy targets are used in magnetron sputtering to create reflective and semi-transparent conductive layers in optical discs and thin-film solar cells.

Used as a low-temperature soldering and bonding material for semiconductor die attachment and thermal interface materials.

Applied as a thin film to modify the reflectivity and durability of optical surfaces, particularly in rewritable storage media.
