Dysprosium Fluoride (DFM), Pieces, 99.995%, 1 -4 mm

Dysprosium fluoride is used as a sputtering target material for the deposition of thin films in magneto-optical data storage and specialized optical coatings.

Utilized as a low-refractive index material in multilayer optical coatings due to its transparency in the ultraviolet to infrared range.

Used as a source material in physical vapor deposition processes to create protective or functional fluoride layers on electronic and optical components.

Serves as an intermediate in the production of dysprosium metal and as an additive in the manufacturing of high-performance neodymium-iron-boron magnets to improve coercivity.
