Samarium Telluride, Granules, 99.99%, 3 mm -6 mm

Samarium telluride is used as a sputtering target material for the deposition of thin films in the study of valence fluctuations and pressure-induced phase transitions in monochalcogenides.

SmTe is investigated as a narrow-bandgap semiconductor material, particularly for its unique electronic properties under high pressure and its role in mixed-valence research.

As a rare earth chalcogenide, it is utilized in specialized solid-state physics research regarding the magnetic and electronic interactions of the lanthanide series.
