Gadolinium Fluoride (DFM), Powder, 99.995%, -40 mesh

Used as a precursor for the production of high-purity gadolinium metal through calcium reduction and as a component in fluoride glass and ceramics.

Utilized as a low-refractive index material in multilayer optical coatings due to its transparency from the ultraviolet to the infrared spectrum.

Fabricated into sputtering targets for the deposition of thin films used in magneto-optical data storage and specialized optical filters.

Used as an evaporation source in physical vapor deposition processes to create protective or functional fluoride layers on optical components.
