Silicon Aluminum Oxynitride

SiAlON targets are used in magnetron sputtering to deposit hard, wear-resistant, and chemically inert thin films for protective coatings on mechanical components.

Used as a high-performance refractory material in molten metal handling, particularly for aluminum and non-ferrous alloys, due to its excellent thermal shock resistance and corrosion resistance.

Employed in the manufacture of high-temperature engine components, cutting tools, and industrial kiln furniture that must maintain mechanical strength at elevated temperatures.
