Lithium Oxide

Lithium oxide is used as a precursor and additive in the synthesis of lithium-ion battery cathode materials, such as lithium cobalt oxide, and plays a role in the formation of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer.

Lithium oxide is utilized as a sputtering target material for the deposition of thin-film lithium-based electrolytes and glass layers in solid-state battery research and optical applications.

Used as a source material in physical vapor deposition processes to create thin films for electronic and electrochemical devices.
