Lithium Manganese Nickel Oxide is utilized as a high-voltage cathode material for lithium-ion batteries, offering a high operating potential of approximately 4.7V and improved thermal stability compared to standard cobalt-based cathodes.

This material is fabricated into sputtering targets for the physical vapor deposition of thin-film electrodes in the manufacturing of solid-state lithium-ion micro-batteries.
