Zinc Telluride is a II-VI semiconductor used in the fabrication of green light-emitting diodes (LEDs), laser diodes, and solar cells due to its direct bandgap of 2.26 eV.

Used as a p-type semiconductor material and for terahertz (THz) radiation generation and detection via optical rectification.

ZnTe sputtering targets are utilized to deposit thin films for photovoltaic devices and multi-junction solar cells.

Applied as a thin film coating for optical components, particularly in infrared windows and filters.

Used as a source material in physical vapor deposition processes to create semiconductor layers for electronic and photonic devices.
