Terbium, Ingot, 99.9%, 100 x 50 x 14 mm

Terbium is used as a dopant in calcium fluoride, calcium tungstate, and strontium molybdate, and as a stabilizer of fuel cells which operate at elevated temperatures.

Terbium sputtering targets are utilized in the fabrication of magneto-optical data storage films and high-performance thin-film transistors.

Terbium is a key component of Terfenol-D, an alloy that expands or contracts in a magnetic field (magnetostriction) used in actuators and sensors.

Terbium is used as a green phosphor in fluorescent lamps and color TV tubes, and in the production of solid-state devices.
