Gallium

Gallium is a primary component in the synthesis of compound semiconductors such as Gallium Arsenide (GaAs) and Gallium Nitride (GaN) used in high-frequency electronics and LEDs.

Used to manufacture laser diodes and light-emitting diodes (LEDs) due to its ability to form compounds with direct bandgaps.

Gallium is used as a component in sputtering targets for the deposition of thin films, particularly in the production of CIGS solar cells and transparent conductive oxides.

High-purity gallium is utilized as an evaporation source in molecular beam epitaxy (MBE) and physical vapor deposition (PVD) to grow thin-film semiconductor layers.
